About the Festival

Hello and a very warm welcome to the biennial Findhorn Bay Festival: a spectacular six-day celebration of arts, culture and innovation, featuring outstanding artists from across Scotland and beyond.

Following the great success of the inaugural Findhorn Bay Festival 2014, we are back this year with another fabulous programme of events showcasing local, national and international artists. Get ready for a vibrant mix of theatre, music, dance and visual art as well as free events including the popular annual community event Culture Day Forres, a cultural extravaganza for all the family to enjoy.

2016 is Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design and this year’s Findhorn Bay Festival will be hosting exhibitions, talks and tours spotlighting Moray’s important contribution to the country’s built environment. There will be a special focus upon green innovation, with events showcasing ground-breaking conservation and environmental projects at Brodie Castle. Throughout the Festival we will be staging performances in unexpected spaces and scenic locations, helping to draw attention to some of the remarkable architecture and natural landscape that surrounds us.

Presented by Findhorn Bay Arts, the biennial festival brings quality arts and culture to the area and helps creative people from across Moray thrive and develop. Findhorn Bay Arts is delighted and proud to have played a leading role in Forres winning a Creative Place Award from Creative Scotland in 2015; both an award and accolade that recognises and celebrates local talent and creative collaborations between artists, businesses and organisations within the community.

So please come along to the Findhorn Bay Festival 2016 and be part of the fantastic arts and culture explosion happening right now in our beautiful corner of Scotland.
