Hayseed Dixie on speed with a serious chunk of funk! Enjoy an evening of bluegrass-funk interpretations with Scotland’s finest acoustic mash-ups band The Banjo Lounge 4.
Featuring five string banjo, chunky acoustic guitar, double bass, stripped down drums (sometimes even a suitcase) and brilliant four part harmonies, this tweed-clad Edinburgh quintet have been entertaining crowds across Europe with their brilliantly imaginative take on some of pop’s most memorable tunes. Whatever your flavour they’ve got it covered!
So get ready to throw some funky bluegrass shapes to a souped-up version of Dizzy Rascal’s Dance Wiv Me, a synth-grass cover of New Order’s Blue Monday, a high-octane version of Duran Duran’s Girls on Film, a raucously bouncy version of House of Pain’s Jump Around, a stylophone-powered take on The Final Countdown by Europe, Metallica vs The Chordettes in Enter Mr Sandman, Let’s Dance by Mr David ‘Bluegrass’ Bowie and plenty more acoustic crate digging mash-ups.
