This informative seminar will bring together a range of music industry professionals to discuss how young and emerging artists can take their first steps in today’s music industry. We invite you to join a #creativeconversation. The format of the event is informal. It is a chance for artists, students and professionals working, studying or practising in the creative and cultural sectors to come together for networking and discussion; no Power Points, no set agenda, just an environment within which we can exchange ideas and share experience. We hope this will encourage discussion and uncover possible collaboration and partnership opportunities.
7pm – 10pm
After the theory, now some practice! With the assistance of Music Plus, young musicians from across the region will have the chance to perform live in front of an appreciative and informed audience. Music Plus is a mentoring project for 14-19 year olds living in Scotland and is funded by Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative. The aim of the project is to increase the skills confidence and wellbeing of young people in Scotland through a diverse range of music making activities.
