For the first time in 50 years a tall ship will drop anchor in the waters of Moray.
The Lady of Avenel, a spectacular 102ft square-rigged Brigantine, will berth at Buckie, bringing the story of our local coastal and maritime heritage and culture to life through music, song, and story.
Conceived by Scottish musician and tall ship captain Barry Nisbet, especially for Scotland’s Year of Stories, ‘Stories, Sessions, and Sails’ will be programmed in partnership with the Elphinstone Institute.
Supported by EventScotland as part of the Year of Stories 2022.
Associated Seafoods is delighted to support the Lady of Avenel at the 4th Findhorn Bay Festival.

Accessibility Info
Unfortunately wheelchair accessibility is not possible. The harbour arrangement and the rise and fall of tides may mean that access to the ship is by a ladder. Once aboard, again the ship being of a traditional design, there are sills and stairways that need to be negotiated to pass from one area of the ship to another, including toilets.
Please wear sensible and non-slip shoes, clothes and clothing in case of wet weather.
