Getting Around

Findhorn Bay Festival takes place around the Bay of Findhorn in the towns and villages of Forres, Findhorn, Kinloss, Brodie and Logie, as well as extending along the Moray Coast to Hopeman and inland to Elgin. Many venues are within walking distance of each other, for those that are further apart, there are many options for you to get around the area with ease.

1950s Festival Shuttle Bus

To transport you between venues with ease and a touch of class, hop on board our 1950s Festival Shuttle Bus.

Running between Forres – Kinloss – Findhorn | £3 per journey

Our Festival Shuttle Bus will be operational on:

Friday 28 September, from 6pm
Saturday 29 September, from 6pm
Sunday 30 September, from 10am

The shuttle runs on a loop starting in Forres before going to Kinloss, Findhorn and back again. Departing Forres on the hour, from 6pm (except 9m) and the last bus will depart Forres at midnight.

6pm: St Leonard’s Church, High Street, Forres
6.15pm: Kinloss Church Hall, Kinloss stops on the main road
6.20pm: Findhorn Foundation, Findhorn stops on the main road
6.30pm: James Milne Institute, Findhorn stops on the main road
6.40pm: Findhorn Foundation, Findhorn stops on the main road
6.45pm: Kinloss Church Hall, Kinloss stops on the main road
7pm: St Leonard’s Church, High Street, Forres

Sunday loop remains the same and starts at 12noon.

Note:
– The driver will try their very best to maintain these times. We advise arriving a the stop 10 minutes before scheduled time
– There is no 9pm shuttle as the driver needs to take a break

The driver will stop at each location and if you are waiting and see them coming please wave them down. Enjoy your Festival and shuttle experience too!


Reaching Brodie, Elgin and Hopeman

Stagecoach bus number 10 regularly runs on the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen.  Stopping off at Brodie and Elgin, these services can be used to attend The Buke of the Howlat at Brodie Castle and The John Byrne Touring Exhibition at Moray College UHI | Number 10 Live Timetable.

The North Sea Fishing exhibition in Hopeman is part of the Friday Secret Studio Tour.  Alternatively you could use the Dial M for Moray bus service to reach Hopeman.


Community Buses

Thanks to support from Moray Leader, we are delighted to offer some free community transport for the Festival. Limited availability and by arrangement to groups across Moray, please contact marketing@findhornbayarts.com or call 01309 673137 for information.

Dial M for Moray is a local on demand Bus Service that operates in Moray for those unable to use existing forms of transport or who do not have a regular scheduled bus service (e.g. routes such as Forres to Hopeman). All Dial M journeys must be pre-booked by phoning our booking line on 0300 123 4565.


Bike Hire

Parking

There is free parking throughout the Festival area and at event venues. Findhorn has limited parking spaces for residents, when attending events in Findhorn, please park along the bay front, along the main road into the village, or follow the signs to the beach car park.
