Theatre, Music

Award-winning musician Mairi Campbell presents her new solo theatre show. Deeply touching, funny and potent, Pulse weaves live viola, voice, animation, movement and storytelling to narrate Mairi’s musical homecoming and journey of the heart.

Discussing the inspiration behind Pulse, Mairi says: ‘There was an urgency and intensity about the music…I think it was connected to Scotland’s referendum. I was looking for ways to integrate story, song and movement. I wanted to take that on. It was clear that this new music was a show, not a gig. And so the show Pulse was born.’

Mairi Campbell’s Pulse has been selected for the prestigious  Made in Scotland: a curated showcase of music, theatre and dance performed during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The 1pm show includes cup of soup and roll courtesy of the Bakehouse Cafe. The 8pm concert concludes with a 45 minute concert set performed by Mairi.

Online booking closes at midnight before the show.
