In 2015 Ian Cameron was voted Scottish Landscape Photographer of The Year, a fitting accolade for an artist whose work has graced the covers of magazines, calendars and books and can be found in corporate offices, galleries and private homes all around the world.
Unusual amongst his peers, Ian prefers to use the traditional medium of film rather than digital to capture, what he describes as, ‘those magical seconds when all the elements align.’ Ian calls this moment Transient Light – a fleeting passage of time when light, composition and subject, coherently combine to produce an image that is at the same time faithful and extraordinary.
In keeping with the 2016 Festival theme of presenting artwork in non-traditional settings, Transient Light is being hosted in the historic Tolbooth situated at the heart of Forres.
