A boy on the run
A listening crow
A man who wants to be lost

NESTS is the poignant story of two people struggling, a boy and a man, told through both poetic and stark language, film and soundscape. In this dark fairytale-like world the story of a frightened and starving boy unfolds. When the boy and his only friend, a crow, encounter a man on the edge of society trying to forget his past they begin a surreal journey.

‘You’ve chosen to take yourself away from things but me, I’m invisible.’

Beautifully authentic performances explore the dynamic between adult and child, the stories we tell ourselves, and how we impact each other. NESTS is a contemporary tale for Scotland’s Year of Young People. A challenging, politically relevant theatre piece that questions if children and young people are being let down by society and delves into this challenging subject with humour and hope.

For audiences of adults and young people over the age of 12.
