Making More of Moray through an evening of Multicultural Music, Food and Visual Art.
The Sub Asian Sound Kitchen kicks off this jam-packed evening with a multi-media installation that celebrates the local Bengali community, food and culture. Hear, see, smell and taste this experience as the Cardamon Spice restaurant serves up a very special curry for your dinner.
The evening progresses with an ambient performance by Jason Singh (Artist in Residence, Hull City of Culture 2017). The composer, beatboxer and sound artist recreates birdsong and entire forestry environments – it’s a sonic treat to behold.
Shooglenifty headline the night with new fiddler Eilidh Shaw (The Poozies). Playing old favourites and new tracks, the night is an ode to their melting pot of in influences – the energy and passion of their traditional Scottish roots, with fiery and infectious dance grooves spiced up by the band’s recent in influences from Rajasthan.
Ticket includes food provided by Cardamon Spice (Vegetarian and Vegan options).
