For the first time in 50 years a tall ship will drop anchor in the waters of Moray.

The Lady of Avenel, a spectacular 102ft square-rigged Brigantine, will berth at Buckie, bringing the story of our local coastal and maritime heritage and culture to life through music, song, and story.

Conceived by Scottish musician and tall ship captain Barry Nisbet, especially for Scotland’s Year of Stories, ‘Stories, Sessions, and Sails’ will be programmed in partnership with the Elphinstone Institute.

Onshore Ceilidh

Join us onshore for a free traditional ceilidh of stories, songs, and music with our wonderful guest artists on Wednesday 28th of September at the Marine Hotel in Buckie.

Supported by EventScotland as part of the Year of Stories 2022.

Associated Seafoods is delighted to support the Lady of Avenel at the 4th Findhorn Bay Festival.
