Workshop, Music

Gwiad meaning ‘weaving’ in Breton is a metaphor for vibrant music. Enriched by the encounters and travels of these two musicians, this dynamic duo is nourished by dance music from Brittany, the Middle East, Europe and South America. Seasoned by traditional music and, more widely, by improvisation and world music, Jean-Luc Thomas (flutes) and Gab Faure (fiddle) infuse into traditional tunes, the accents and rhythms harvested along their travels around the world.

We are delighted to work with Compagnie Hirundo Rustica in Brittany to facilitate our first international exchange.
