Salt House has been a mainstay of the folk scene for almost a decade and comprises Festival favourites Jenny Sturgeon and Lauren MacColl along with Ewan MacPherson.
Salt House performs new songs that sound as if they’ve always been here. Ancient ballads revived. Poems given the melodies they’ve long deserved. Songs about place, politics, landscape and birds.
In the second half, they will perform Riverwoods – a collection of songs and instrumentals inspired by the journey of the Atlantic salmon and the biodiversity of our river systems – written in response to the feature-length documentary of the same name by re-wilding charity, SCOTLAND: The Big Picture.
Presented in partnership with Findhorn Nairn Lossie Rivers Trust as part of the Findhorn Watershed Initiative.
