An evening of stunning Scottish songs by some of our finest Scottish singers. Presented in partnership with the North Atlantic Song Convention, our artists are all steeped in the singing traditions of Scotland and have performed far and wide to audiences.
Inverness-based Brian Ó hEadhra and Fionnag NicChoinnich perform songs from the Gaelic, Scots and Irish traditions and newly composed material drawing inspiration from music and cultures primarily from the North Atlantic fringe. They are often joined onstage by their two children Órla and Ró.
Stirling-based Jo Miller is a singer, fiddler, ethnomusicologist and community musician. She has a special interest in the traditional songs of her home area of Galloway, but also sings a broad repertoire of Scots songs from ballads to Burns and dance tunes to contemporary songs.
Scott Gardiner is one of Scotland’s top traditional singers and has been performing at concerts and festivals nationwide since his school days. He is best known for singing bothy ballads and songs of the north-east.
Experience a unique ‘in the round’ concert where all performers will share the stage, taking turns to lead and collaborate on each other’s songs. It promises to be an unforgettable evening of old and new songs in Scots, Gaelic, and English.
