Music

Formed in 2016, The Breath is Manchester-based guitarist Stuart McCallum and singer/flautist Ríoghnach Connolly. A contemporary take on alt-folk, its all about the song. Having released three albums on Peter Gabriels Real World label, this award-winning duo presents gorgeous, acoustic-minded music with songs that tell stories in ways that soothe, stir, exalt and touch emotional chords that will bring tears of lamenting joy to your eyes.

Inge Thomson and Fraser Fifield are Scottish musics most fearless pioneers. Combining exquisite vocals with accordion, whistles, sax, kaval and electronics, they summon a musical universe somehow both ancient and futuristic. Expect beautiful heart-wrenching stories and epic musical journeys.

“an affecting blend …. McCallum provides the grandeur and artifice and Connolly the intimacy and purity”
