Back by popular demand, Culture Day Forres brings the streets, parks, shops and public spaces to life in a carnivalesque explosion of art, music, circus, talks and more.
It’s everywhere, so follow the creativity as it spills across the town centre. Discover a rich programme of events including High Street Histories & Stories from the Shadows at the Tolbooth, local choirs at St Laurence’s, a Makers Merkat, an exhibition and tea at the Erskine Veterans Activity Centre, an open mic at the Town Hall and contributions from writers, dancers, artists and community groups at Forres House Community Centre. Grant Park becomes a hive of activity with local organisations sharing what they do alongside bursts of acrobatics, absurd juggling and riotous comedy from Northern Ireland’s Tumble Circus.
Across the town, live music fills the streets with rhythm, energy and joy. A day where Forres comes together. A day where culture belongs to everyone.
All events are free and suitable for all ages. Wander in and out of events at your leisure. Free parking across town.
“Culture Day is all about engaging with the public, to encourage people to take interest and awareness in the arts in and around Forres, and engaging with lots of people in lots of different ways…”
