Our Small Halls Artist Residency Programme (SHARP) places artists in rural communities to work collaboratively with local residents, using village halls as spaces for creative engagement, exchange and shared making that reflects the unique heritage, culture and everyday life of the community.
Morna Ross is a socially engaged artist whose work centres on people, place, and lived experience, creating opportunities for communities to share and celebrate their stories through theatre, live performance and media arts. She worked alongside local people in Findhorn to explore the past, present and future of the James Milne Institute. Through conversations, stories, memories and shared experiences in collaboration with the community, she created original work that celebrates the hall, its people and the connections that shape community life.
