Fiona Soe Paing performs her widely acclaimed album, Sand, Silt, Flint, in a mesmerising audio-visual performance that combines music, myth and moving image.
Sand, Silt, Flint explores the ballads and folklore of North-East Scotland to create a contemporary performance rooted in landscape, memory and tradition. Unfolding as an invocation of land and lineage, experimental electronica fuses with archive material drawn from the School of Scottish Studies Archives and traditional instrumentation as live vocals mesh with evocative visuals, drawing audiences into a cinematic landscape of myth, memory and song.
