Renowned Scottish trumpeter and avid fan of Davis, Steele is the master when it comes to paying homage to musical legends. With sell-out performances at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and named as Ian Rankin’s ‘live gig of the year’, the concert is inspired by the golden age of 1950s New York jazz clubs.
The Quintet – Colin Steele (trumpet), Konrad Wiszniewski (saxophone), Dave Milligan (piano), Roy Percy (double bass) and Jim Drummond (drums) – play some of his most celebrated masterpieces, including So What, All Blues, Milestones, Flamenco Sketches – ageless classics played with freshness and passion.
