Through the Combine to Create Small Halls Artists in Residency programme, four creative practitioners have been paired with four rural village halls in Moray to create a site-specific work in response to the unique narrative of the hall and its community.

Come and celebrate the culmination of the Small Halls Artist Residency at Edinkillie Hall with a performance by one of the Highland’s finest jazz bands – the Jon Hall Quartet – featuring Jon Hall on Piano, Neil Sharkey on Double Bass, Nigel Mackenzie on Drums and Barry Overstreet on Tenor Sax.

For the past three months artist, singer and poet Andrea Turner has worked with the local and wider community on a series of creative projects.

In addition to the performance by the Jon Hall Quartet, this final event will also feature:

  • An exhibition of colourful, beautiful and dynamic works created collaboratively by workshop participants and the children of Logie Primary School on the theme of a garden.
  • An original spoken word performance by local writer Stephen Webb.
  • Andrea’s own creative work made in response to the historic Edinkillie Hall and the surrounding landscape.

Join us for a warm, uplifting, afternoon of creativity and community. Tea, coffee and cake will be served.
