Combine to Create Small Halls Festival Showcase

Rafford Village Hall

  • Saturday 24 September
    10.00 am-11.30 am
  • Rafford Village Hall, Rafford
Free (no booking required)

Join us to celebrate the stories shared and creations made as part of the Small Halls Artist Residency at Rafford Village Hall with tea and cake from 10am to 11.30am.

Over the last three months, ceramic artist Amy Benzie has worked with the local and wider community of Rafford Village Hall in a series of creative drop in workshops using clay to explore our journeys to, and relationships with the hall, the local environment and each other.

The event will exhibit the works created by the community that bloomed from play, curiosity and creativity. Also, Amy’s own creative work made in response to time spent in Rafford and immersed in the stories shared during the sessions will be on display.

Suitable for all ages. Free to attend but registration recommended.

Through the Combine to Create Small Halls Artists in Residency programme, four creative practitioners have been paired with four rural village halls in Moray to create a site-specific work in response to the unique narrative of the hall and its community. Residencies will culminate with a celebration event as part of the Festival, including live music, food, art and more.
