Following the success of the inaugural Findhorn Bay Festival two years earlier, Findhorn Bay Arts presented the second biennial Festival in September 2016.
The second Festival featured another fabulous programme of high quality events, showcasing local, national and international artists, and placing a spotlight on the beautiful natural environment and urban heritage in and around the bay of Findhorn.
In the interim year of 2015, Findhorn Bay Arts played a leading role in the Forres area winning a Creative Place Award from Creative Scotland, an accolade that recognises and celebrates local talent and creative collaborations between artists, businesses and organisations within the community.
In celebration of the Forres Area Creative Place Award, and in embracing Scotland’s Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016, the Festival brought a high quality and vibrant mix of live music, fine-art, installations, architecture, design and photography, talks, tours, free activities, an education and outreach programme, and Scotland’s only Culture Day.
In November 2016, the Findhorn Bay Festival received the Community Tourism Award from Moray Chamber of Commerce.
